This is some really good news for any Verizon users leading into the Holidays. You can now head down to your local Best Buy and pick yourself up a Samsung Galaxy Tab for only $499 off contract. This will bring you a $100 savings, as Verizon’s Tab price had previously been $599. Now there is one catch to this amazing deal (of course), you have to commit to one month of a pre-paid plan that Verizon offers and then you can cancel after that first month and do whatever you like with the Galaxy Tab. Verizon’s pre-paid data plans are as follows…
- $20/month for 1GB
- $35/month for 3GB
- $50/month for 5GB
- $80/month for 8GB
If you have really been wanting to get a Tab this is a great offer, but remember that the Galaxy Tab does only run Froyo, which is not optimized for tablets, and if you wait another couple of months you might be able to get yourself a tablet with Honeycomb. If you are a patient person I would wait, but then again having a Galaxy Tab right now sounds like a lot more fun.
