We all know that Sony Ericsson is developing this phone, even if they won’t admit to it.  And today we have a leaked commercial for the device that is a little weird, but still highlights the device.  If you aren’t familiar with the Xperia Play, or whatever they end up calling it, it is an Android smartphone will a slide out Playstation-esque keyboard/gamepad.  While many people are questioning the reasoning behind this device, with the popularity of gaming I am sure that it will do well whenever it is released.  We have learned that the Xperia Play will launch with Gingerbread, as per the prototype that Engadget got their hands on, which continues to show that Sony Ericsson is dedicated to releasing devices with current software in 2011.

The rumor is that we will see this device get officially announced at Mobile World Congress, but in the meantime check out the video and make sure to let us know what you think of it in our Rumored Device forums.
