A couple of days ago we reported that it looked like we may see an HBO Go app for Android on May 2nd.  It still looks like this is true, however a recent tweet from Direct TV does make mention that only “selected Android phones” will receive it.  We have no idea right now as to what they mean by “selected” but we should find out soon as May 2nd is approaching rapidly.  Let’s hope that the app hasn’t ben tied in with some carrier, and that they are merely referring to newer devices due to the graphics power needed to run the app.
