Droid X2 Already Rooted Thanks To GingerBreak!

Well it seems that the brand new Droid X2 from Motorola and Verizon has already been rooted, and really it comes as no surprise.  These days it is odd if a phone isn’t rooted only hours after being in the hands of the faithful Android community, and the Droid X2 is no different.  This time around root has come at the hands on the GingerBreak, and while the root method was developed for phones with Gingerbread loaded it seems to work on other phones as well.  it is always nice to see a new device get rooted so quickly, now only if Motorola would stop locking down their bootloaders everything would be happy go lucky.

If you have managed to get your hands on a Droid X2 early and feel like trying out a little rooting, you can grab the GingerBreak.apk here. Now remember that if you decide to attempt this it can cause serious damage to your device and we here at Androidnerds.net take no responsibility for anything that happens.
