We have just heard from Samsung that the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be releasing in the U.S. as of June 8th in NYC, and nationwide launch coming on June 17th. Both Verizon and Sprint have not made their announcements regarding their plans to carry the device as well. Sprint made a very low key announcement done by Mark Elliot from their PR department on Twitter, basically stating that they would be carrying the WiFi model sometime around “mid-summer”.
Verizon on the other hand has gone the other direction and made a full blown press release of this one. And I really don’t blame them as they have announced the LTE version on the Tab 10.1, something that we would really like to get our hands on. You will be able to pre-order your LTE enabled Galaxy Tab 10.1 starting on June 8th, the same day the WiFi model launches exclusively with one Best Buy in NYC, and will cost you $529.99 for the 16GB and $629.99 for the 32GB. Now remember that both os those prices are based off a new 2 year contract being signed, so if you want it outright it will be costing you much more. The Verizon Tab’s will also be offerend in both gray and white, so you can decide which one suits you the best, personally I would go for the white.
To check out the full press release from Verizon hit that jump, and I am sure that we will see something more official from Sprint as we close in on their launch.
