There were some rumors and leaked slides a little while ago that pointed to this device getting released, and today it is official. You can now get a red version of the HTC Inspire 4G for AT&T from Radio Shack. The red version will run you $29.99 on a new 2 year contract, or you can grab it for $550 outright. The Inspire 4G is a 4.3″ (WVGA) device that features second generation 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8MP camera, Android 2.2 and HTC Sense. The Inspire will eventually be getting an update to Gingerbread, Android 2.3, since it’s brother from a different other the Desire HD has already started to receive it’s Gingerbread update in Europe. While the Inspire is a not dual-core device it is a still a higher end Android device that will get the job done. One thing to consider prior to getting the Inspire is that it only has a 1230mAh battery and therefore may not be ideal for a power user.
If you are interested in a red Inspire 4G head on over to the Radio Shack site and order yours today. It is nice to see HTC making a red version of this device, as the black slab format can get a little redundant and I am sure that there are some of you out there that would love to set yourself apart from the rest with this splash of color.
