Motorola’s Atrix 2 has found its way back to the web once again, and it bears gifts. These gifts are in the form of more specs and press shots. This Is My Next, as usual, comes through with the goods and tells all about it. The Atrix 2 isn’t the most impressive phone on the market, but its got some serious cool accessories. The good news is it HAS BEEN CONFIRMED, yes you read right! Although it was rumored to be released as the Edison, it will for sure be called the Atrix 2. Hit the break for some specs and info on the lapdock.
The Motorola Atrix 2 will (and has been confirmed to) have:
- 4.3-inch qHD display
- 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus
- 8GB of internal storage
- 1GB of RAM
- more to see
The Lapdock
Of all the accessories I have seen since dealing with cell phones, this one is just about the coolest one. What looks to be a laptop is really a docking station for the Atrix 2. This dock will more or less be a laptop via your phone. The screen is a bit smaller than originally thought 10.1″ as opposed to 11.6″ as originally thought. This Lapdock 100 is not the same as the one originally for the Atrix, aside from the screen, it is connected by a cable rather than pressed in. Rumor has it the Droid RAZR will use the same one. By going via cable Motorola won’t have to design a new lapdock for each one. This is also known as universal design.
So what do think of the lapdock? Pretty cool huh? Leave a comment below!
