The Kindle Fire is taking the world by storm, it’s also been called the “iPad Killer”.  The 7-inch tab was only announced a few days ago and now there is talk about Amazon outsourcing the 10.1 tablet to Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry).  The 10.1 tablets are expected to ship by the holiday season demand according to sources.  Foxconn declined to comment at this time.

Foxconn has been a long-term contractor for Amazon’s Kindle e-book readers, and market watchers had expected the company to also land orders for 7-inch Kindle Fire tablets.

They did decide not to take the Kindle 7-inch tabs as they are busy with the iPad for Apple.  It is noted that Quanta Computer got the 7-inch tab deal.
