Work on CM9 begins, don’t forget rule#1 of CyanogenMod

With the release of the Android 4.0 source code teams like CyanogenMod are of course starting to work on their next iteration.  When the source code dropped Steve Kondik made a tweet about seeing us in two months.  This of course does not mean that CM9 will be ready to go in two months, rather that it will take some time before we see some nightlies and alpha/beta releases of the next variant of CM.  In case you have forgotten the first rule of CyanogenMod is that you don’t ask for an ETA, so please don’t expect to see anything soon.

Of course the good news is that CM9 development has begun, and I am sure that Steve and the CM team will make an awesome ROM from Android 4.0 when the time is right.
