MOTOROLA PETITIONED TO UPGRADE TRIUMPH TO GINGERBREAD: Change.org

Motorola-Triumph

When I came across this I have to say I was a bit shocked.  Motorola is usually not one to leave a phone out in the dark like this.  The company as a whole is pretty much on target with updates and what the people want.  The carrier however, Virgin Mobile, does need to step up to the plate and get on Motorola about getting the update that is desperately needed.  Hit the break for more.

Looking at the specs of the phone they are not that much different from the LG Esteem I am running (at GB 2.3.4 no less) so it is safe to say that the Triumph can run it as well.  The reason it seems that the upgrade is important is because of a battery bug that was fixed in GB ut still exists in Froyo.  Obviously there are other numerous reasons for the upgrade as well that go far beyond just battery issues.  Take a look at the specs of the Triumph and see what you think.

I see absolutely no reason not to upgrade the device.  It’s powerful enough, fast enough and dang it people like it!  The petition is going through Change.org and the link is here.  If you would like to be the driving force to help the cause, please sign the petition.
