Battery life of smartphones is something we all wish was better. Every Android device user is tired of bad battery life on their smartphones these days. Some people live with it while some like us give our phone that extra push.

Mugen Power was kind enough to send me a 4000mAh extended battery for my Galaxy Nexus to play with and test. I made sure to charge my battery 5-6 times for 10-12 hours before giving it a go as told by Mugen Power. The Galaxy Nexus comes with a 1750 mAh battery which hardly lasts 18-24 hours on EDGE/3G or 8-14 hours on 4G LTE. Now that’s bad! Isn’t it?

I’m a heavy duty user. I use my phone to browse the net, tweet, to game, listen to music, watch videos on youtube and god knows what not! The sync on most of the apps on my phone is set to 15 minutes. The Galaxy Nexus has whooping 4.65″ Super Amoled HD screen which is like a nightmare for the 1750mAh battery.
The stock 1750mAh battery lasts for 15-18 hours for me but this 4000mAh beast lasted for 2days and 14.5 hours. No exaggerating, it did!

The 4000 mAh battery comes with an extended door cover, which also has a kickstand attached to it. The kickstand is a cheap knock-off for me, but I can live with it. Otherwise it has a great soft-touch texture for an easy grip. The battery supports NFC just like the stock one.

I can finally play Nova 3 while I’m out and I don’t have to worry about the juice remaining in my battery. ;)
I’m still using this battery on my phone, even though its fat and heavy. Who doesn’t like that extra juice? Will it become my daily driver? Well that is yet to be decided. But for now, that extra weight is still their on my Galaxy Nexus.

Mugen Power is the worldwide leading brand of high performance batteries for portable electronic devices. I highly recommend this battery for the heavy duty Android users like me, I guarantee it will satisfy any style of users battery needs.
