The wait is over the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has hit American soil.( At least for T-mobile and Sprint customers other carriers coming in November). Opening the box and seeing that 5.5 inch super Amoled display was like seeing Christmas morning for the first time. I upgraded to the note 2 from the Samsung Galaxy S3 not thinking that there would be a huge difference in performance other than the larger screen and S Pen, But boy was I wrong The quadcore processor really makes a difference for overall speed and user experience.
The Note 2 ships with android 4.1 jellybean the latest os buy viagra online from google. Project butter is built into jellybean helping make things smoother and responsive. Galaxy s3 will be getting 4.1 jelly bean in the coming months. Out of the box the note comes buy cialis loaded with a bunch of preloaded T-mobile apps like T-mobile account, T-mobile tv, T-mobile wifi tethering, etc. One great thing that T-mobile gives you that other carriers don’t is Need for speed: Most Wanted, Although it’s not available yet once its released on October 30, 2012 you’ll get the game for free.
The S Pen is an amazing piece to this phone once you pull the S Pen out your greeted with its own home screen that you can customize with apps that you use with the S Pen like S Note. The S Pen is integrated into the operating system of the Note 2. With features like air view you can a quick look at media ans content without actually having to open it. You can also scroll the screen up and down without touching the device. You can take screen shots with the S Pen by pressing the button on the pen and holding down on the screen you can open S Note by double tapping the screen while pressing the button on the S Pen. There are many uses for the S Pen.
Popup Browser is one of my favorite features on Note 2. What is Popup browser? Well it’s exactly that a browser that pops up in a smaller window on the same screen when clicking links in emails, twitter, facebook, etc. It does not take you out of the app that you are currently using to view the content. Making looking at what people are sending you, tweeting, etc much easier and faster to view.
Battery life is simply amazing I don’t have a better way to say it. It’s the best that I have had on any Smart phone. I could most likely get 1 1/2
days on the battery without recharging with moderate to heavy usage. I use my phone for everything music in the car, GPS, videos, email, web browsing and so much more on a daily basis that with the Samsung Galaxy s3 I would have to charge it twice a day. The Note 2 has a much improved battery life.
T-mobile Speed and coverage seem to be better on the Note 2 as well Constantly getting 10-20 mbps download on the test that I ran. For instance I got 0 bars of service in my house with my s3 and I get 2-3 bars constantly with the Note 2. I’m not sure if its due to it being bigger that the antenna is bigger or what but no complaints here.
In my opinion the Note 2 is a solid upgrade from the s3 with the quadcore processor, 4.1.1 jellybean, better reception and much better battery life it’s a no brainier to me.
